Entropia Universe is free massive multiplayer online game. Well, it is free as long you dont put real money in. Entropia Universe has a real world cash economy in other words you can put real money in (if you want or prefer fast track in your ingame career) with credit card and if you are creative or lucky you can withdraw your profits back in to real life. You can use for example Entropia Universe Cash Card to withdraw funds from your Entropia Universe account from over 1 million ATM machines worldwide. Yes, you can actually get real cash from ATM machine for your work in side virtual universe. Ingame currency is called PED and 10PED is 1$.
Entropia Universe has over 500,000 registered accounts though MindArk (game developers) have not released number of active accounts.
There is mainly three main carees in this free massive multiplayer online game where players can choose from: hunter, miner, crafter. Offcourse there is trading career too couse of real world cash economy ;) Too bad that you avatar (character) can not gain skills in trader profession.
There is a really active community wrapped around Entropia Universe. I belive reason for this is the fact that people who play this game have quite high average age in real life. Only 10% of players are under 18 years of age and 35% of players are over 30 years old in real life. From my point of view this is one of the reason why we have so dedicated people here.
So, basicly this Entropia Universe is free to play as long you dont want to take fast track and deposit real cash in. If you have time and nothing better to do, you can play this game for free as long you like :) Free activities: collect sweat from animals and sell it to other players, explore two large continents, visit all teleports that are used for fast traveling between towns.
